June 17th 2021, Montreal - Covid-19 Help Hub (Réseau d'entraide Covid-19) is happy to announce the launch of Marché Commun, a local sustainable non-profit delivery platform, supported by the Government of Quebec to help our local restaurants not just survive but thrive through Covid and beyond with an equitable, environmentally conscious and socially just delivery platform.
Be one of the first 100 people to order from Marché Commun for a chance to win a $100 voucher for both you and a friend towards your next order!!
Working for a third-party delivery platform that uses a predatory business model to push the Uberization of gig economy work is not sustainable. Food delivery people are watching the revenue of the platforms flourish as their pay dwindles, and many learn that having no job security can land them in deeper financial difficulties than when they started. Marché Commun has partnered with local rider coop Chasseurs Courrier to carry out food deliveries in Montreal to support and strengthen our restaurants, delivery people, community, and environment. You can join us by making a conscious decision to support the local players when you order for delivery.
We chose Chasseurs because of our shared values in equity, fair wages, positive work conditions, and sustainability. Our partnership also promotes delivery people as an integral part of our community who deserve respect.
